At first glance, it's nothing new that a band releases a live album, however, it's the original album cover that was horrifying. The album cover features a picture of the former mayhem vocalist per ''dead ohlin when he committed suicide. Dawn of mayhem's singer, dead (per yngve ohlin), after his suicide in april 1991.

Dead’s suicide affected necrobutcher so much that he left mayhem, thinning the band’s ranks down to two.

In 1993, live in leipzig was released as the band’s tribute to dead. Later that year, the recording of mayhem’s upcoming album, de mysteriis dom sathanas resumed. In dead’s and necrobutcher’s absences, attila csihar of tormentor [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] their major label debut, it was released by century media records on 25 october 2019 in digital formats while a manufacturing problem delayed the physical release until 8 november 2019.

It is the second and final studio album with the vocalist sven erik kristiansen (maniac) before he departed mayhem. Turbonatas of the norwegian band red harvest provided the album artwork. [3] the cover image is a still from the 1922 swedish silent film häxan. Prior to mayhem, he performed as the vocalist in the swedish death/thrash band morbid.

One year after the controversial all the witches dance artwork, this bootleg live album is released, bearing a photograph of mayhem's singer, dead (per yngve ohlin), after his suicide in april 1991.

The photograph was taken by mayhem's guitarist, euronymous (øystein aarseth), when he discovered the body. Photos of the suicide scene later graced the cover of a bootleg live album, titled dawn of the black hearts. Two years later, guitarist euronymous was murdered by session bassist varg vikernes, of Complete discography, ratings, reviews and more.

The front cover is a photograph of mayhem's vocalist, dead (per yngve ohlin), after his suicide on april 8th, 1991. The photo was taken by euronymous. Original version on lp by bull metal (r.i.p.), who played in typhon , masacre , neurosis , and was also the owner of warmaster records in colombia, has golden letters on the front cover. So if someone doesn't know the album cover is actual photo of the former member of the band ironically nicknamed dead after he shot himself.

When another band member euronymous found him later that day, he went shopping, bought camera and took photos of the scene.

That weird obsession left him to commit suicide in a house rented by mayhem. That suicide would forever be immortalized on the cover of a bootleg live album, after guitarist euronymous photographed dead's corpse. And then euronymous gave out necklaces with fragments of dead's skull to musicians he deemed worthy. Don't worry, that's not all.

Recorded live in sarpsborg, norway on 28 february 1990 this is the original release of this notorious bootleg. It was released by former masacre drummer mauricio montoya who also ran warmaster records and features the famous suicide scene of former mayhem vocalist dead on the cover. Varg wasn’t in mayhem, he had his own project called burzum. Varg was owed money from euronymous (member of mayhem and owner of death like silence record label).
